Acquisition: Debut fantasy novel by Laura Stanfill

Lanternfish Press is pleased to announce the acquisition of Laura Stanfill's debut novel, working title The Bright Side, for publication in Spring 2022.

Henri has never met his American half-brother Robert but has spent a lifetime competing with him for their father's affection. When dire circumstances drive Henri across the ocean to encounter his half-brother at last, he unexpectedly reunites with an old friend from Mireville—who inspires him to forge a different path for himself.

Laura Stanfill is the publisher of Forest Avenue Press and the founder of the Main Street Writers Movement. In addition to her zine Sad House, her nonfiction has appeared in more than a dozen literary journals and print anthologies. She believes in indie bookstores and wishes on them like stars from her home in Portland, Oregon.
