Lanternfish Press is pleased to announce the acquisition of Anca L. Szilágyi's second novel, working title The Dream Box, for publication in Fall 2022.

Binnie tries to make a life for herself in New York City with a day job as a paralegal, all the while obsessing over her neglected art projects. But because of her absent-mindedness in the office, all hell breaks loose. Will the chaos finally push Binnie to listen to her heart?

Anca L. Szilágyi is the author of the novel Daughters of the Air, which Shelf Awareness called “a striking debut from a writer to watch” and The Seattle Review of Books called “a creation of unearthly talents.” Her writing appears in Orion Magazine, Lilith Magazine, and Los Angeles Review of Books, among other publications. She is the recipient of fellowships and awards from Hugo House, Jack Straw Cultural Center, 4Culture, Artist Trust, and Vermont Studio Center. Originally from Brooklyn, she has lived in Montreal, Seattle, and now Chicago, where she teaches creative writing and lives with her husband and son.

Anca’s 2017 debut novel, Daughters of the Air, was also published by Lanternfish Press.
