The Quelling Launch Party

QUELLING-epub-cover-lowres.png

Join us at Colony Cafe to celebrate the launch of Barbara Barrow’s debut novel, The Quelling. Stop by anytime between 7-9 to mingle, have cake, have a drink, have a coffee, and/or hang out with friendly bookish people! There’s also a Cat Loft where guests can spend some time with our adoptable feline overlords.

This event is free and open to the public. (Cat loft visits are also free for the duration of the party). Friends, family, kids, significant others, book fiends, etc. are all welcome. Please feel free to pass this invitation along to others! Copies of The Quelling will be available for sale.

Barbara Barrow is a literary critic, fiction writer, and Assistant Professor of English at Point Park University in Pittsburgh. Her short fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Cimarron Review, The Forge Literary Magazine, Folio, and elsewhere, and her journal articles have appeared most recently in Nineteenth-Century Contexts, Victorian Poetry, and Journal of Victorian Culture. In her spare time she eats mangos and binge-watches old seasons of Grey’s Anatomy. THE QUELLING is her first novel. Anca L. Szilágyi calls it a “ferocious, tender, astonishing” book that “lays bare our animalistic drives toward violence and love.”
